Sometimes clients need a writer to help put their ideas on the page.
Other times they need an editor to make their project as strong as it can be.
I do both.
How can I help you?
-
I have over a decade of experience writing for print, web, social, and video. I’ve serviced clients in entertainment, government, education, tech, finance, and food justice, which has made me an extremely nimble writer capable of learning any brand voice and writing in it. Large projects or small, I can help you make sure your message is clear and compelling.
-
Whatever the scale or scope, I can help refine a project and get it over the finish line. I have over a decade of experience in proofreading, developmental editing, line editing, and formatting projects according to given style guides. I’ve edited books, dissertations, articles, web copy, and technical documents. Each project has unique needs, and I’m able to understand and meet them.
-
My academic background has made me an adept researcher and communications strategist, able to identify challenges, craft strategies for solving them, and find the information required to do so. I am as comfortable conducting market research to inform media campaigns as I am doing background research to brief executives before public speaking events. And I can solve marketing challenges by crafting both short- and long-term integrated communications campaigns that reach target audiences effectively and efficiently.
-
I am able to help develop brand identities from scratch, helping to define an organization’s voice and curate style guides that ensure its consistency across all channels. Each channel is unique; having worked across all of them, I can ensure that the brand voice remains consistent regardless of format or convention.
-
Just need advice? I’ve been teaching, tutoring, and consulting on writing and communications strategies since 2015. I have extensive experience helping ESL writers, and I am particularly passionate about helping activist organizations create a sustainable communications infrastructure. Even if you don’t know what you need, let’s talk.

Screening Adult Cinema
ed. Farrah Freibert, Peter Alilunas, and Desirae Embree
Part of the Screening Cinema series at Routledge, Screening Adult Cinema is a collection of 39 essays that explore the diversity of adult film across global contexts.
The book was developed at the invitation of the series editor. Along with my co-editors, I crafted the proposal, solicited contributors, provided multi-level editing on 13 chapters, and contributed to the management of all assets. I was also responsible for creating the front matter and indexing the final manuscript.
